Calculate your daily nutrition intake

First it’s important that you take time to determine your daily nutrition target and calories need. It will help you to know how much food you must eat daily.

Follow this easy step by step guide and find out how many calories you’ll need in a day.

  1. Calculate your resting metabolism rate (RMR). That’s the number of calories you need to basically breath, pump blood/be alive. (Body Weight)x 10 = RMR in calories
  2. Calculate your daily activity burn. This is the calories required for your daily movements apart from exercise. Remember that not everybody have the same needs. Someone who work on a construction site will bur more calories a day then someone who work in an office. Your RMR x 20% = Daily Activity Burn
  3. Add the calories required for your exercise needs. The average 1 hour workout burn about 400 calories. Add it all up and you’ve got your energy amount. Your RMR + Daily Activity Burn + 400 = Energy Amount

1) Eggs

Without a doubt the best source of protein there is. They are cheap, easy to cook. Available everywhere,  and loaded with protein. Unless you have any high blood pressure problems, I highly recommend to eat at least 3 egg whites a day, preferably in the morning.

2) Almonds

My favorite snack by far. Not only they are delicious but also packed with all kinds of nutrients like magnesium, fiber, proteins and vitamins. But what makes them really interesting is their ability to block calories. Research indicates that the composition of their cell walls may help reduce the absorption of all of their fat, making them an extra-lean nut. Not bad !!! They always helped me get my cravings under control. I eat a handful a day as a snack while dieting.

3) Chia Seeds

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, and iron, chia seeds are great for weight loss because they act like a sponge, absorbing sugar and stabilizing blood sugar levels. Because of their high fiber content, the tiny seeds can hold up to twenty times their weight in water, so when they’re mixed with liquid they plump up and absorb excess moisture. Add them to your oatmeal or put them in a bowl with unsweetened chocolate almond milk-they will absorb the liquid and gelatinize, similar to the consistency of a rice pudding.

4) Greek Yogurt

I love Greek yogurt. I use it with oat meal or even to replace oil in my favorite dressing. I’ll share with you the recipe in another article. Yogurt is stacked with probiotics, bacteria that may help reduce the amount of fat your body absorbs.

5) Avocados

We’re not gonna go over all the health benefits of avocados in term of carcinogenic, cholesterol etc…. But as far as weight loss goes avocado is one of your best friend. Ne number of uses is endless. From dipping sauce, spread, salad even shake. Oleic acid, a compound in avocados’ healthy monounsaturated fats (MUFAs), may trigger your body to actually quiet hunger. Stick to a quarter or a half of an avocado and watch that belly fat melt away. The creamy fruit is also packed with fiber and protein.

6) Blueberries

Did you know that much of the power of blueberries lies in their color? That deep-blue hue is a by-product of flavonoids — natural compounds that protect the brain’s memory-carrying cells (neurons) from the damaging effects of oxidation and inflammation. Since blueberries are one of the best sources of flavonoids you can find, it’s no surprise that this superfood has been shown to help preserve memory function. Blueberries, like other berries, also have a high water content, which makes them hydrating for your skin and other cells of the body.

3 Important tips for a ripped stomach and boost your weight loss

While trying to put together the best diet for abs as well as a meal plan is tremendously important to reach your goals here are 3 tips to help you boost your weight loss. The layer of fat on the belly can be really hard to burn. You might have to learn how to trick your own body in order to burn more fat.

1) Decrease your calorie intake through the day

Let’s say you’ve established your energy amount (Your RMR + Daily Activity Burn + 400) at 2200 calories a day. You will then try to follow this pattern.

  1. Breakfast 600 calories
  2. Morning snack 200 calories
  3. Lunch 700 calories
  4. Snack 200 calories
  5. Diner 400 calories
  6. Snack 100 calories

2) Increase your protein intake

Increasing your protein intake vs carbs intake will boost your weight loss (80%/20%). Eating lean proteins within 30 minutes after getting out of bed is highly recommended. I like to start with a protein shake in the morning prior workout such as Isopur 0 carbs®. I find this protein shake very easy to digest and with 50 g of proteins per serving and only 200 calories there are no better one on the market.

3) Drink plenty of green tea

I dedicated a whole article on what green tea does for you in term of weight loss. Green tea helps weight loss with his natural thermogenic properties. I always drink plenty of green tea while dieting. You can replace green tea by green tea extract if you don’t have time to brew tea.
